DADA - HATS OFF

AXED,DROPPED,OUSTED,UNFIT,NONPERFORMER,SHOULD RETIRE, DUMPED, SIDELINED, NOT IN THE SCHEME OF THINGS,blah..blah..blah,every one connected, disconnected or unconnected with cricket WROTE OFF SAURAV GANGULY. The worste comments came from the so called coach and the chief selector and ofcourse the bunch of jokers of BCCI.There cant be a cricketer(the most successful captain) who could be treated this worse. The man who took the team to the finals of the worldcup after kapildev was made to carry drinks for the players. The man who taught us how to celebrate success was disgraced. Indians basically give up easily..come on INDIA learn from GANGULY how to bounce back to glory.Learn the never say die attitude.HE has made his willow to do the talking,he was the highest run getter in the most difficult pitches at south africa and when asked to open the one day international after two years - scored a swushbuckling 98runs. This man is undoubtedly the DADA of indian cricket.Cheers to the die hard fans of DADA...When the going gets tough, only the tough gets going.Business schools should bring a case study on GANGULY.

No not again please!!! An episode where, individuals get more attention than the game. As an avid follower of the game I strongly feel that individuals are no big than the game itself. If a certain player is out of form then he needs to be dropped be it Ganguly or be it Sachin. When Dravid was out of form in the ODI’s during 1998 he had to prove himself by playing Ranji games, same goes with Zaheer. So let there not be an exception to Ganguly. After all to win one-day matches we need people in form. The loyalists may say it is politics. But the fact remains an under performer cannot be in the team in the pretext of past glories. It is horses for the courses that decide the team to win an ODI. In that case for a player of his class, the chances that he was given was not given to any other cricketer (18matches) to prove himself. If dropping him was politics then how were we to debate his tenure as captain, the nation would not have forgotten the scant respect that he showed to the selectors and the coach. If Ganguly’s newly regained form suggests that it was a slap in the face of those who wanted to drop him, I think it is a cynical way of looking at things. By the admission of Ganguly himself, and other former cricketers, he needed the time to get his game in order by playing domestic cricket.

All that we want in Team India is a United Team, a Fighting team and team that gives its 100% on field.

Cricket is a religion in India – Let not a few cricketing ‘god men’ ruin the game.

Hello hold on folk...we are talking about indian cricket. What i intended was any one in the shoes of ganguly for the treatment he met would have called QUITS.The coach of the team commented on him very personaly by saying that he is in cricket because of his financial commitments and the chief selector said ganguly chapter is closed since indian team is looking - only for youngsters. In these circumstances with BCCI which runs like a political party and is focused only on MONEY - it is impossible for any cricketer to think of comming back to the team.Ganguly had scored a century in the test bfore the axe came on him.

To succeed from adverse circumstances is not an easy joke, bcoz the person alone knows what it means.

Bouncing back to glory in trying times at the highest level is what i am trying to comment about, particulary when all guns are pointing at you.The will power to fight against all odds and succeed, that NEVER SAY DIE ATTITUDE. Truely COMMENDABLE.Kuddos DADA.

Lara,Imran,Botham,Warne,Boycott,Bradman,Waugh Hardley ,Ranatunga,Schumaker,Steffy Graf,Pele ,Maradona,Jhonson, Tiger woods are not from India. But people across the globe including their country treat them as legends. There are Museums built for some of these big names in their own contry. There are some sportsmen who overshadow the game..bcoz they are class apart. No one can hide a genius. Lets celebrate sachin or kapil or whoever if they are CLASS APART.We are fortunate to have them. Lets not be cinical.

Actually I am ardent fan of Prince of Calcutta, The Bengal Tiger... Comparted to Sachin he has a different batting talent and yes he would be called 'The batting maestro'but its not individual attention. For nearly 10 months he has been sidelined and is just being like he is a fresher. He proved himself in every match and now even in Afro Asian cup too. Compared to Sehwag and other fellows he is far better b'coz he has captained Indian after the match fixing which occured in 2000. After Kapil Dev, Md. Azharuddin I go for Sourav - the dada as a good captain. Even Sachin when he was the captain he only won one cup The Titan Cup rest his scores not tat good.Every player has his own talent. IF he doesn have Ganguly wouldn have been from 1996 he has crossed 10000 marks with highest no. of centuries after Sachin in India. So its not that I 'm a fan so I talk about him or brag about him. He is simply the best.
